Tired of the same old hairstyle for online meetings? Virtual hairstyles can be the perfect solution to spice up your look. We spoke with Linda Miller, an experienced stylist, to share her expertise on virtual hairstyles and how to select the best one for your face shape and hair type.

Style Inspiration for Your Face Shape

“Firstly, consider your face shape,” advises Linda. “If you have a round face, try a style with height and volume on top to elongate your face. For a square face, go for soft waves and layers to soften the jawline. If you have a heart-shaped face, side-swept bangs and layers around the face are ideal. Lastly, for an oval face, you’re in luck! Almost any style works for you, but try to avoid heavy bangs that can weigh your face down.”

Choosing the Right Cut for Your Hair Texture

“Next, consider your hair texture,” Linda continues. “If your hair is fine, opt for a cut with layers and texture to add volume. Avoid blunt cuts, which can make your hair appear thinner. For those with thick hair, consider a blunt cut with minimal layering to keep the hair from feeling too heavy. If your hair is curly, try to avoid a cut with too much layering, as this can create a triangular shape. Instead, ask your stylist for long layers to maintain the shape while reducing bulk.”
